Proton & X70 Edit

Second-Hand Proton X70 in Malaysia

The Proton X70 is the first C-segment sports utility vehicle (SUV) from Malaysia’s national carmaker, Proton. Proton X70 Variants

The Proton X70 was initially introduced with a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder TGDI engine. In 2022, it received its first update, also called Minor Change 1 (MC1) by Proton whereby it’s now fitted with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder TGDI engine. With the introduction of a new engine, Proton has updated the selection of variants for the SUV. However, with the smaller engine, you still get excellent design, performance, and interior refinement in the Proton X70, with improved fuel economy.

Then in 2023, Proton updated the X70 lineup again, adding the 1.5 TGDI Premium X 2WD. This sits below the range-topping 1.8 TGDI Premium 2WD. The new Premium X variant is identical to the 1.5 TGDI Premium 2WD but adds a powered sunroof and an additional color exclusive to this variant – Quartz Black.
