Ford & Ranger Edit
The Ford Ranger is an iconic pickup truck. Although it’s not as ubiquitous on Malaysian roads as its Japanese competitors, it still has a sizeable fanbase thanks to its aggressive, modern styling, plush interior, and generous kit offering. It goes up against other pickup trucks such as the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, and Mitsubishi Triton.

The Ford Ranger was refreshed for 2022. In Malaysia, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) is currently offering the Ford Ranger in six variants which are the Ford Ranger 2.0 XL MT (manual transmission), XL AT (automatic transmission), XLT MT, XLT AT, as well as the XLT Plus and Wildtrak which are only available as automatics.

It also has an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a leather-wrapped gear shift knob, one-touch up/down power windows for the driver and front passenger, Qi wireless charger in the front, and multiple drive modes. While the lower three variants get fabric seats, the Ford Ranger WildTrak gets full leather ones.

On the exterior, the Ford Ranger has a modern, muscular styling with practical features that make it a great pickup truck. Styling-wise, it has signature “C-clamp” headlamps and a bold front grille. The WildTrak variant gets matrix headlamps with auto high beam and auto leveling, while the XLT and XLT Plus variants get LED headlamps with manual leveling.
